API key encryption
Meraki API keys are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption. Keys are never stored in plaintext and are only decrypted in memory during API operations.
Backup file encryption
All backup files are encrypted with AES-256-CBC before storage. Whether you use Azure Blob Storage or local storage, your configuration data is encrypted at rest.
Storage options
Choose Azure cloud storage across 8 global regions, or keep everything local for maximum control. Multi-tenant isolation ensures customer data never crosses boundaries.
Role-based access control
Four-tier permission system (System Admin, Customer Admin, Partner Admin, and Partner User) ensures users only access what they are authorized to see.
